In this book by Michael J. Fox, he talks about his life inthe ten or so years leading up to the most recent American election. It covers
a variety of areas in his life. Although an easy read, it has some moments which will stay with you. I recommend it as it gives his perspective on his own situation. I hope you get a chance to read it.
